2007 Brisbane Truck Show

Mack links tradition with innovation to take home Gold!

Mack Trucks has won the award for Outstanding Truck Manufacturer Display at the 2007 Queensland Truck & Machinery Show.

Mack wanted to remind Australia of the rich heritage it shares with this great country and pay tribute to the much loved truck models that have helped cement the Mack brand as a leading transport provider. And we did it in prize winning style at this year’s Queensland Truck & Machinery Show, Australia's largest. Spanning more than 40 years, through dozens of model releases and millions of miles, the official Mack stand reminds us that the Bulldog breed has been a part of it all. As our slogan tells the world: “Mack. Was. Is. Always will be”.

The Mack Trucks stand combines the past, present, and future. Flanked on each side by two gigantic Bulldogs, the mint-condition Mack collection is a sight that must be seen to be believed.

For the true Mack enthusiast there is no more sacred a site than the lovingly restored 1929 Mack AC model. With its polished wooden tray and glowing red paint scheme, this truck is sure to charm any visitor to the stand.

We continue our walk through Australian history by presenting the Mack R600 first introduced in 1966. Tough, efficient, practical; the R600 spoke for itself, and told the story of a thousand journeys in the boom of the 1970's, helping Australia sustain its rapidly expanding population and economy.

The historic Bicentennial Super-Liner II on display was built in 1988 to commemorate that special milestone. Mack, as always, was there for Australia's coming of age. As a thousand Mack bumper stickers testify, “Without Trucks, Australia Stops”.

And to complete your Mack-experience the pride of Mack’s current fleet boldly stand side by side with their predecessors. These trucks include:

Each of these trucks continues Mack’s strong belief in Australian made trucks for Australian conditions with the same reliability, strength and durability of their famous forefathers.

Needless to say, there is something special about the Mack Trucks stand. And two things are perfectly clear: Mack and Australia will continue to grow together.
